Terms - Trade-in
- You must be 18 years of age or older to trade-in a mobile phone.
- The mobile phone must belong to you, and you have the right to trade it in to us, with no debts owing, including existing interest free balance remaining or any other party having an interest in it. We will not accept mobile phones for trade-in which we determine to be lost, blocked, stolen or fake, and can reclaim any trade-in value where this arises.
- All phones will be checked against a lost or stolen database using the devices IMEI number.
- We reserve the right to inform the relevant authorities if there is any suspicion that there is a deliberate attempt to commit fraud.
- You can trade-in any mobile phone, from any New Zealand network, as long as it's on our database and of an acceptable condition (at our discretion). If your used mobile phone is not listed, it cannot be traded in. However, we do have recycling boxes in store if you wish to recycle your phone, accessories or chargers instead.
- Your mobile phone cannot be returned to you once it has been processed for a trade-in.
- You must perform a factory reset and that ensure that you clear all personal information, Google or Apple accounts and content from the mobile phone and any SIM in the phone. Any SIM card, data and/or personal information contained on the mobile phone cannot be returned. You are responsible for removing all information and content from the mobile phone you trade-in.
- We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of any personal information which is stored on the mobile phone and/or SIM card that you have traded in.
- The personal information that you have provided on the receipt will be disclosed to our contractors in order to process the trade-in transaction.
- Our Privacy Policy applies to all trade-in transactions.
- You can only trade-in one phone against a new phone on an interest free payment term.
- You must complete the trade-in of your existing mobile phone through one of our retail stores before buying your new phone. We will complete a visual inspection of your phone to verify the condition and this will determine the value. Subject to confirmation of the condition of the phone by the visual inspection, we will honour the estimate until the date indicated on the quote provided.
- We reserve the right to amend its estimated trade-in value if the condition of the phone does not reflect the answers you provided in the online trade-in questionnaire (at our discretion).
- Your trade-in device must have a minimum trade-in value of $99.
- We will not trade-in any devices that cannot be powered on.
- The new device must be purchased Interest Free from us on an eligible Pay Monthly Plan. Our standard Interest Free eligibility criteria and terms apply.
- The value of your trade-in phone will be applied as an upfront deposit towards the new device and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any additional Interest Free offers will be applied over the term of your Interest Free Payment term.
- A minimum remaining Interest Free Payment amount of $100 or higher is to be payable on the new phone over the Interest Free Payment term if no Interest Free discount or One Wallet discount is applied.
- Trade-in is not able to be used for new phones purchased via pre-order.
- Vouchers cannot be used towards an Interest Free Payment purchase.
- Eligibility for a trade-in transaction is at all times at our sole discretion.
